IUD Insertion and Removal
IUD insertion and removal is a medical procedure where a Doctor places or removes an intrauterine device (IUD), a small, T-shaped contraceptive device, into or from the uterus. This procedure is used for long-term birth control and can be effective for several years. In addition to contraception, IUDs can also be used for managing heavy menstrual bleeding and reducing the risk of endometrial hyperplasia in women undergoing estrogen replacement therapy.
Types of IUDs
There are two types of IUDs women may consider for contraception
- Hormonal IUDs. They are also called progestin-releasing IUDs
- Non-hormonal IUDs. They are also known as copper-releasing
It is best to book a time with the doctor to discuss the best IUD for you
Cervical Screening
Offering comprehensive cervical screening services, including the option for self-testing.
Our cervical screening program involves the collection of cells from the cervix to detect any changes that could indicate the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells.
We understand that undergoing cervical screening can be a sensitive experience, so we aim to make every patient feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Our compassionate team provides a safe and private environment, ensuring patients receive the best possible care and convenience in maintaining their health.
