Role Description

This is a flexible Full-time or Part-time role. As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing primary care medical services to patients. Your day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, conducting physical examinations, prescribing medications, and providing preventive care and health education.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Essential criteria for this position:

•  Current Australian registration in nursing (AHPRA)

•  A valid National Police Certificate

• A valid Working With Children (WWC) Check

• Proof of up-to-date vaccinations

• Current drivers licence & own car

• Immunisation competency or willingness to obtain


Desired Criteria:

· General Practice Nursing experience     

· Extensive experience with CDM, TCA's & Health assessment as well as familiarity with MBS codes

· Immunisation certification preferred

· Wound Care experience preferred

· Experience with Medical Director/Pracsoft, Pen CS, Hotdoc and MyGPMPtool.

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our dynamic, friendly, and passionate team. This is a casual role with the potential to transition into a permanent part-time position for the right candidate. Flexibility to cover both planned and unplanned leave is essential.


At Darlington Medical Centre, we prioritize patient-centred care and are looking for a nurse who shares our commitment to quality service. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while being a supportive team player. While extensive experience in general practice is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right person.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing Chronic Disease Management Plans and Health Assessments
  • Administering vaccinations for both adults and children
  • Assisting GPs with procedures, including ear syringing and iron infusions
  • Conducting basic investigations such as ECG, spirometry, and Doppler
  • Coordinating the treatment room’s daily operations, including stock control, sterilization, and general maintenance of medical instruments and equipment
  • Promoting preventive healthcare and patient education
  • Managing Cold Chain systems effectively
  • Wound care, including dressing and suture removal
  • Overseeing patient reminder/recall systems for follow-up care
  • Organizing and maintaining accurate patient clinical data
  • Ensuring that all clinical procedures adhere to health regulations, safety protocols, and the standards set by RACGP.

Medical Receptionist role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a new receptionist to join our well-supported team. We are currently seeking a casual receptionist to work on a 7 day roster, including days, nights, and weekends. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to cover sick/annual leave.


Previous experience in a reception role will be highly regarded.
